WorldRemit is a secure, fast and reliable way to transfer money internationally while avoiding the high fees of bank-to-bank transfers.

Transfer Guide

  • Download the WorldRemit App and create an account for free.
  • Select your country (e.g., UK/USA/Ireland) in the “You Send” box and Uganda in the “They Get” box (select Uganda with UGX next to it).
  • Input the amount of money you wish to transfer. This can be input in the “You Send” box (this will be in your local currency) or the “They Get” box (amount will be in Ugandan Shillings).
  • Select Mobile Money as delivery method, then select MTN Mobile Money. Select ‘Add new receiver’ then enter the following details.
